DONT USE > BEITRAGSSEITE: projects

Faden verloren?

»Faden verloren?« means »Have you lost the thread?« and is the claim for this whole campaign.
This project by MONIKA DABROWSKA and me was for an initiative called PROMENZ. People hitten by dementia and their dependants can meet and get help in their daily routine with PROMENZ. We have been closely cooperating with the agency Himmer, Buchheim & Partner who created the Corporate Identity of PROMENZ.
On September 12th 2019 there was the opening of our huge art installation in the 9th district of Vienna. An oversized thread has been taut in between the trees of the AKH Hof1.
Furthermore an image-film created by the Film Factory has been shot next to the installation.

Klimavolksbegehren

This summer we initiated a guerilla campaign together with the austrian "Klimavolksbegehren" in the middle of Vienna. Alarm clocks have been hidden across public space. Each of them started ringing at exactly 5 minutes before 12 o'clock. Watch the video:

memories not photographed

This project is based on our travel to Mexiko City in january 2019. It is part of our book "Wurf/Nr.3: Mexico City" as an own chapter. Furthermore this project was exhibited as an installation at "die Angewandte Festival 2019".
As soon as we recognize our surroundings we perceive it as an unique impression. Those sensations are filtered because of cultural background, experiences, childhood, interests, knowledge etc.
The media we choose for representing those impressions are representing them screened and filtered again. Depending on every unique background and personality, you will receive your very own picture.
That's why photographs of this project are transparently adding up a new picture and story.
